About

Niccolò Walsh (they/them/theirs) is an actor, writer, and collaborator, drawn to shapeshifting, new queer storytelling, and complex characters in need of an advocate.

Most recently, they developed and premiered The Cappuccinos by Kyle Seamus Brosnihan at the Tank and The Brick. Along with originating the role of D.J., Niccolò served as casting associate and marketing director.

Niccolò showed off their passions for dialect work and physical comedy in Hay Fever by Noel Coward at the Stag & Lion Theater, and The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde at The Brooklyn Center for Theater Research.

They debuted an excerpt of their play Where The Boys Are as part of Gotham Writers Group’s showcase of trans and non-binary writers at KGB Bar, now in workshops.

Niccolò starred in the 1940s gay romance Sunset, directed by Gary Jaffe and Katie Ennis. Sunset debuted at the Palm Springs International Shortfest, and was an official selection at 35 festivals in 5 countries. Now available on YouTube.

As part of a repertory of actors at the School of Visual Arts for the past 6 years, Niccolò has collaborated on countless projects with emerging writers and filmmakers, and taken on a broad range of characters. A few favorites: Walter White, Lisa from Girl, Interrupted, and possibly one of the first non-binary cowboys.

As an actor, Niccolò has worked with La MaMa, The Flea, The Brick, and The Tank, among others, and holds an acting degree from Emerson College, where they graduated with honors.
